Video meetings for Ethiopian teams, schools and organizations

Pay in birr, no international card needed

Paid plans can be bought in Ethiopian birr through Arifpay, using Telebirr, CBE Birr or a bank card. There is no automatic renewal: you pay for a month or a year, and nothing is charged again unless you choose to renew. Teams abroad can pay by card in US dollars and other currencies.

In Amharic and English

Every screen, from sign-up to host controls, is available in Amharic and English, and each person can choose their own language. Administrators can add more languages.

Built for real-world connections

Median internet speeds in Ethiopia are around 10 megabits per second, and many people join from phones. Gubae sends several quality levels of each video and gives every viewer the one their connection can carry. You can also choose low video quality or turn video off to save data.

Operated under Ethiopian law

Gubae is operated by an Ethiopian company, and the Terms of Service are governed by Ethiopian law. Personal data is handled under the Personal Data Protection Proclamation No. 1321/2024, and you can download or delete your data yourself at any time.
