Gubae (ጉባኤ, Amharic for “assembly”) is a video meeting and team collaboration platform: HD video and audio meetings, screen sharing, collaborative whiteboards, cloud recording, team chat, scheduling and workspaces in one place.

Is Gubae free?

Yes. Workplace Basic is free with 40-minute meetings for up to 100 participants, team chat and cloud recording. Paid plans add longer meetings, larger rooms, more storage and administration.

Can I pay in Ethiopian birr?

Yes. Plans can be paid in Ethiopian birr (ETB) through Arifpay — Telebirr, CBE Birr and bank cards — or in US dollars and other currencies by card.

Do guests need a Gubae account?

Yes. Everyone signs in before joining (a free account takes a minute), so hosts know who is in the meeting. Hosts invite people with a meeting link or ID and can add a waiting room and passcode.

Is Gubae secure?

Meetings support end-to-end encryption, waiting rooms, passcodes and host controls. Accounts support two-factor authentication, single sign-on and device session management.

How many people can join a meeting?

Up to 100 participants on Basic and Pro, 300 on Business and 1,000 on Enterprise, with gallery view, speaker view and breakout rooms.
